If you've gone about exploring this website thoroughly, you've already seen this image. But I'll hazard a guess that most of you haven't seen this yet. (Pssst. There's a word in the first sentence on where to start looking. You'll find the same word up in the navigation.)
Connections to Our Past, to our fond memories
We acquire all sorts of things to remember special people, special places. Maybe it's that sea shell from your best vacation, or the little booties your baby wore, and yes, even photographs.
These were my grandmother's gloves. She had these small delicate hands. Me putting on these gloves is like holding hands with the past.
These gloves are a connection to a warm and fuzzy memory of a grandmother I only knew through the eyes of an adolescent. I acquired them some 30+ years ago. I can imagine that these were her "fancy" gloves, reserved for special occasions, as they look as pristine as the day she bought them.
They are a connection to part of my past. What connects you to yours? Share your thoughts in the comments section. Of course you can always just reply to me personally in your email.)
