Life Inspired Family Session
This is not your typical portrait session. Being almost like a fly on the wall is a fun way to photograph a family "doing their thing".
This kind of photo session embraces all that your family is—wonderful, crazy, loving, and fun.
And while the "double finger up the nose" photo wasn't chosen by the family for their album, I found it quite endearing. What's more real than boogers? :)
Sometimes we moved a little furniture to make room for me, or just to get it out of the shot. Or to face mom towards the light a bit to see her baby's peaceful face.
The family needed a few more formal portraits, too. But they don't all need to be boring. (I did do a few normal photos for the grandparents.)
The idea isn't to be there all day, so a "Day in the Life" is a really more like a condensed version of what your family's day-to-day looks like. Documenting this time, to look back at today, and decades in the future.
Changing the baby, coloring, having fun at the kitchen table, reading. Maybe baking cookies together is favorite thing to do together, or playing with the dog, bouncing on the bed. :)
A couple without children could also choose a Life Inspired session to document their life together. You and your husband might make pancakes together. Love to walk in the park. Snuggle in the hammock with a glass of wine. It's wonderful to look back at these images years (decades) later and just remember and smile.
