By looking at these images, it’s hard to believe there’s a grocery store just a hop and skip away. Ok, a few hops, but not far.
But it’s these familiar sites that we all walk or drive by all the time that can be so interesting. Paying attention to the everyday streaming by you is the challenge. The stream goes by quickly. But you can take that moment. To stop. To notice.
I feel like I could do an entire series of photographs called “From the Side of the Road”. Just thinking of some images I’ve taken in the past: a deer carcass (yes, I stopped, can you believe it? The flies were buzzing around it and everything, so I stayed back a bit), corn fields, lupine flowers, dilapidated houses. Are you interested?
