Where to Find Me!
You can find my work in a few places in May and June! And I'll be there in person at some, too.
The Mental Illness exhibit at Gallery St Germain across from the Paramount continues until May 26th. I'm really proud of how this project turned out, and feedback that I'm getting is that it's emotionally meaningful and does help others understand what someone living with mental illness experiences.
If you'd like me to be there when you go to the gallery, just give me a shout out via email (best way to reach me: firstname.lastname@example.org) and I can try to arrange to be there for questions and such. (More info on the project on the Introduction page, which is a good place to start to learn more, and to see the online version of the exhibit, too.
Then there are a couple other events coming up where I'm there in person the entire time. My nature photography will be featured on May 19th. And I'll actually have both my nature photography and a little bit of the mental illness project at Falcon National Bank there on June 8th. (With the lobby featuring my nature photography all month, but I'll just be there in person on the 8th.)
- May 2nd — 26th — What Mental Illness Feels Like—Images & Stories, Gallery St. Germain, 912 West St. Germain, St Cloud, MN. (Across from The Paramount.) Regular Gallery Hours: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays—11 to 5pm, Saturdays 10 to 2pm.
ABOUT THE EXHIBIT: Barb Kellogg created “What Mental Illness Feels Like—Images & Stories”, a photography project inspired by conversations with a friend who battled depression. More info and (press kit)
- Saturday, May 19th — Girls Day Out — Saturday, 10am — 5pm. This intimate event is at Mary Gohman's home - 1106 Somerset Blvd, St. Cloud, MN. She is a fantastic jewelry artist (check out her work here), plus there will be a good variety of other artists, not just jewelry, including yours truly! I'll be having my "Name Your Price" promotion on matted prints again that was so popular last year, plus a couple "scratch & dent" pieces marked to sell, and I'll be testing the waters again with cards to see how well they sell.
- June 1st — end of July — Falcon National Bank inside lobby, downtown St. Cloud, MN. Photography will be for sale, contact me to purchase. During the June 8th Art Crawl, I will be in the Atrium, so purchases of artwork can me made in person from 5 to 9pm.
- Friday, June 8th — St Cloud Art Crawl - Falcon National Bank Atrium, 5 to 9pm, 1010 W St Germain Street, St Cloud. Incredibly honored to be with fellow Central Minnesota Arts Board/McKnight Foundation Award winners. In the atrium I'll be featuring some of the artwork from the What Mental Illness Feels Like project, as well as have a variety of images for sale (both from the project and my other nature nature photography).
