I can’t believe these are from a month ago! Finally got them off the memory card. I recently purchased a wide angle lensRead More
What SOOO fascinates me is the diversity in the shots. Not only within our own camera, but between photographers. And you gotta remember, we didn’t spend all day out there. Less than an hour, with really no agenda other than to walk around and see what we could find. You can view Alissa’s photos on Flickr. And as you can see, you might not guess we were even in the same place. I can see how people get into doing this. I follow other photographers online, and they will often post pics of their photowalks. Diversity in viewpoint is what makes this so darn cool!
So if you own a camera (or even an iPhone), go out with a another friend with a camera, and have some FUN!
...another great day with a little photography adventure, followed by a yummy lunch (California rolls and crab salad…sorry, no photos of the food).
Alissa and I were on the bank of the Mississippi River, walking around a little park. The fun aspect of a photowalk is the sheer variety of subject matter. And we only were out there about an hour. The river itself wasn’t that interesting to me. But the leaf I found on the shore was interesting, so I placed it in the water (a little trick…I’ll call it creative opportunity). Some power lines—gotta love the triangles and rectangles created by the lines. A sproutling from a tree. (Yah I made that word up.) A portrait of Alissa. And finally we caught this passing train as we were walking back to the car.
Can’t wait to see Alissa’s photos! If she’ll let me, I’ll post some here.
...on a nice Sunday afternoon. I went for the photowalk, my husband went for the walk. But lucky him, he got to model for one of the pictures I took this afternoon! (We’ll see how lucky he feels after he sees this blog post. Ha!) And a friend of ours was out running. I’m sure he’s feeling quite “special” now, too, appearing here. (Yes, you can read a lot of sarcasm into my words!)
For those unfamiliar with a photowalk, it’s just like what it sounds like. You go out walking with the express purpose of photographing things. And I sure wish people would clean up after their dogs! Geesh! But no photos of THAT!
So you have a variety of photos to view. I also varied the post processing techniques. And the one with the little chicka-dee-dee-dee I chose as my photo for today’s part in the 365 Project.
